About & Roadmap

Our Mission: Empowering Scientific Discovery Through Intuitive, High-Precision Visual Tools

Mission & Core Principles

Cengraph was born out of a real-world scientific need: researchers spend far too many hours fighting clunky legacy plotting software or writing repetitive custom Python/MATLAB scripts just to produce clean spectral figures for publication.

Our mission is to combine the mathematical power of scientific Python libraries with the fluid 60 FPS user experience of modern application frameworks.

Three-Phase Development Roadmap

Phase 1: Core Engine & Journal Export (Current Release)

  • [x] Dual-engine Flutter + Python integration.
  • [x] Whittaker-Eilers AsLS baseline correction engine.
  • [x] Savitzky-Golay noise filtering & 4 chemometric normalization algorithms.
  • [x] Multi-canvas session management with native .cgph files.
  • [x] Vector SVG/PDF export with LaTeX typography & Nature/ACS presets.

Phase 2: Advanced Chemometrics & Peak Deconvolution (Upcoming)

  • [ ] Gaussian / Lorentzian multi-peak fitting and area integration.
  • [ ] Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Partial Least Squares (PLS) spectral clustering.
  • [ ] 2D Spectral Contour Maps & 3D Surface Plotting for Time-Resolved Spectroscopy.

Phase 3: Cross-Platform & Cloud Integration (Future)

  • [ ] Native macOS (Apple Silicon / Intel) build.
  • [ ] Native Linux AppImage / Flatpak distribution.
  • [ ] Optional web-based team sharing and spectral library search integration.
