A: Yes. Cengraph is an offline desktop application. Your scientific raw datasets, baseline transformations, and figures never leave your local computer. There are no cloud storage requirements or background telemetry.
Q: Does Cengraph support macOS or Linux?
A: Currently, Cengraph is optimized and officially released for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). Linux and macOS desktop builds are planned in our future technical roadmap.

Q: Why Whittaker-Eilers AsLS over polynomial fitting for baselines?
A: Polynomial baseline fitting often suffers from Runge’s phenomenon (oscillation at peak edges) and requires manually defining baseline anchor points. Whittaker-Eilers AsLS uses a penalized matrix approach that automatically adapts to continuous baseline curvature without distorting peak shapes.
Q: Can I save my work and edit baseline parameters later?
A: Yes! When you save a project as a .cgph file, Cengraph stores the original raw data alongside all non-destructive baseline parameters, color themes, and annotations. Reopening the .cgph file restores your complete editable workspace.
